Victoria Police Traffic Operations Group TOG replaced the Mobile Traffic Section MTS and the XA Candy CARS were replaced with the XB Candy CARS They were FORD FALCON GT Police variants some of these continued to be High Output modified 351 4V Cleveland imported V8s of Boss 351 Cobra Jet Mustang or Torino type high performance plus whilst some XB Police cars were K code & B trans ( Automatic trans) the Hume Highway Group & Western Highway Group are sure to have remained T Code engines (HO) with L trans 4 speed floor shift top loaders FORD ensured no XA model would have a H Code stamp although the Ford parts books still list the XA /XB HO parts and Police interceptor or HO Phase 4 parts had to be specified by mechanics to have the right parts as there were differences Pictured is S/C Peter Tampion based at Dawson Street Brunsick with his ride 641
