POLICE SUPERCAR 148MPH Q CAR

50 YEARS now in 1972 the Ford FALCON 351 GT-HO was in production confirmed by a FORD dealers bulletin 2oth June 1972 100 to be built in June and the final hundred in July 1972 all this following the first ONE Job 1 on the production line 17th June 1972 with one completed with a H code engine stamped on the compliance plate the only one that has been found which for whatever reasons was not delivered until late January 1973 , What was on the production line probably were reverted back to Falcon GT A few days before June 25th 1972 Ford Motor Company ( Max Stalh?) received a call by a government representative warning Ford to not go ahead with the 200 special Bathurst Falcon GT-HO PHASE IV on the 25th JUNE 1972 Sydney Morning Herald ran the page one headlines 160MPH SUPERCARS

As a result Ford did not go ahead with mass production of the subject GT-HO model The bodies and parts were quickly disposed off , some sold off others went ad-hoc into cars down the line the 37 of the engines of 40 claimed by Ford were built and went into Police cars throughout Australia with possibly Victoria Police MTS receiving the lions share,

Senior Constable recalls his meeting with an executive at Ford Motor Company head office Broadmeadows resulting in a letter stating the fact that the 148MPH car chase police unmarked XA 351 FALCONS Q CAR LHH 035 was fitted with one of those 40 engines
